SMART MEASURING DEVICES FOR EFFICIENT WATER SYSTEMS: WHAT'S NEW?

Water systems represent critical, complex, dynamic human-environment coupled systems, whose management requires coordination between academia, industry, decision and policy-makers in order to transform traditional water systems into the new paradigm of smart water systems.

Therefore, to meet the demands of industry and government and to successfully make this new paradigm actionable, research and industry must collaborate to identifying gaps and need and innovative solutions to solve water challenges.

The workshop will be focusing on innovative sensors and tools in the water sector to reach out to Water Utilities and Technology providers.

Some innovative tools and sensor technologies that were developed in the scientific and technical communities based on the use of smart devices cases will be presented and the session will be used to create cross-links and collaboration opportunities.
