WE AoA membership is not limited in time and automatically renewed on a full calendar year basis.

Membership cancellations for the next year need to be submitted to the Executive Director before the 1st of October of the running year .

The main duties and rights of Corporate members are:

• Have access to all WE programs and membership benefits
• Have a voting right during the General Meeting
• Endorse WE Water Vision
• Accept Articles of Association​ and Bylaws​

Apply here for the Membership fee reduction (1.365 EUR/year)​ 

*Only members from EU countries whose GDP per capita is below 75% of the EU average can apply for the reduced membership fee. In addition, the granting of a reduced membership rate is always subject to approval of the Board. Members in the following countries can apply for the reduced fees: Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Estonia, Greece, Hungary, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia and Slovenia.

1. Apply here if the SME turnover is < 2M EUR (Fee: 775 EUR/year)​

2. Apply here if the SME turnover is 2-5M EUR (Fee: 1.900 EUR/year)​

Public authorities refers to any authority which has a legal mandate to govern, administrate a part or aspect of public life including municipalities, regional authorities, water basin authorities, regulators, and their associations.

Public authorities that endorse the WE Vision and promote it in their territory. All decisions on new members are taken by the Board of Directors of Water Europe on a case-by case basis.

CSOs refer to organizations legally registered with appropriated statues, working for the benefit of society or in-service delivery, sometimes in collaboration with grass-roots organizations. CSO can include geographic or thematic networks and platforms or common dialogue forum for umbrella organizations and networks. Civil society includes professional associations, trade unions, social movements, coalitions, advocacy groups, charities, development NGOs, community groups, women's organizations.

Adherence to a number of criteria can indicate if an organization qualifies for college G. Some notable criteria are:

•  The organization is separated from both the state and the market;
•  The organization is primarily community-serving, meaning that, other than catering to its members' needs, the organization serves a broader purpose, for instance societal or environmental;
•  The organization bases its income primarily on donations and public subsidies;
•  The organization is registered as an NGO, non-profit, foundation, charity or in a category with similar traits.

Delegated membership is available for a legal entity that is owned or controlled by a College A member (a daughter company).

The request for delegated membership can either be made by the daughter or parent company. Delegate Members have the same rights and obligations as Associate Membership and will be dealt with in the same way as the latter. Consequently, Delegate Members may take part in all WE's activities under the same conditions as Corporate Members, but they cannot participate to the WE governance and therefore cannot be represented at the WE General Meeting or at Board level.
