Event Details
On 21st October 2024, Water Europe hosted a pivotal event in Brussels to raise awareness and foster dialogue about the establishment of the new EIT Knowledge and Innovation Community (KIC) dedicated to water, marine, and maritime sectors. This event aligns with and intends to support the European Commission's 2024 Water KIC call awareness campaign, underscoring Water Europe's support to foster innovation and sustainability across these ecosystems to achieve a global Water-Smart Society.
With a shared mission to tackle water sustainability, resilience, and security challenges and consider the impacts of climate change on the overall water ecosystem, this event gathered leaders in research, business, and education to debate the future of Water KIC. It offered emerging consortia to showcase their models and ideas for the upcoming Water KIC Call for Proposals in 2025.
